    Commercial Catch Report Revision Project. We try to collect information on what fishermen catch and how much effort (fishing gear x time) is used to catch the fish. Then we calculate catch per unit effort (CPUE). That is, how many fish (or how many pounds) are caught per unit of fishing gear per unit of time. For example, how many fish are caught with one hook (or one line) per hour? We also look at size-frequency, or how many fish of each size and species are caught on a fishing trip. We also want to know where the fish were caught, when they were caught, and what kind of fishing gear or bait was used.
